T3AM Global is recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a busy precision engineering subcontract shop in Atherstone, Warwickshire. You will programme, set and operate CNC milling machines, predominantly with Heidenhain controls, producing high‑quality components.

The role offers a 4‑day week, regular overtime and salary dependent on experience (£40,000–£52,000). Training and career development are available within a stable, growing business.

Precision Engineering | £40,000-£52,000 | 4-Day Week | Regular Overtime

The company

T3AM Global are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately owned precision engineering business based in Atherstone, Warwickshire.

Operating as a specialist subcontract machine shop, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality precision machining to customers across a range of demanding engineering sectors.

The business is extremely busy, financially stable and continues to invest in its machining capabilities. With a longstanding workforce and excellent working environment, they are now looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join their growing team.

The role

An experienced CNC Miller is required to programme, set and operate CNC milling machinery, producing high-quality precision components across a variety of engineering projects.

The business predominantly uses Heidenhain controls, although previous Heidenhain experience is not essential, with training available for candidates experienced in other CNC control systems.

You will work within an experienced machine shop producing a varied range of precision components, including larger work and small batch production.

You will take responsibility for:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machinery


• Producing precision components from engineering drawings and specifications


• Working across one-off and small batch machining requirements


• Setting tooling, workholding and machining parameters


• Inspecting completed components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality


• Identifying opportunities to improve machining methods, tooling and cycle times


• Working independently while supporting the wider production and engineering team

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have:

• Proven experience working as a CNC Miller


• Ability to programme, set and operate CNC milling machinery


• Experience working with CNC milling control systems


• Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and specifications


• Good understanding of tooling, tolerances and precision machining

Other DESIRABLE qualities/skills include:

• Experience using Heidenhain controls


• Experience machining larger components


• Experience with one-off and small batch production


• Previous experience within a subcontract machining environment


• Experience producing complex or high-precision components


• Heidenhain experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates with strong CNC milling experience using alternative control systems are encouraged to apply, as training and support can be provided.
