Job summary

The Waterview Service within Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dynamic practitioner to join its specialist Complex Emotional Needs team. The role offers MBT/DBT training exposure and a chance to develop within a multidisciplinary setting.

You will undertake client assessments, contribute to MBT/DBT pathways, and work as Lead Professional for selected service users, including risk management and home visits as clinically indicated.

Qualifications

• Essential core professional qualification and registration in a relevant field (e.g. Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Psychotherapy).
• Training/knowledge of MBT/DBT and application to practice.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments of service users, identifying personality traits and emotional abilities.
• Lead or co-lead DBT and MBT pathways within the service.
• Act as Lead Professional for a number of service users with severe personality disorder and maintain therapeutic relationships.
• Conduct joint home visits and safeguarding alerts where appropriate.
• Engage in risk assessment and crisis management to maintain a safe environment.
