Job Title: Lead Clinician Practitioner Psychologist

Location: Hillingdon Manor School – Middlesex UB8 3HD

Contract: Permanent, Term time only (there may be scope for this to be a full time contract (52 weeks). If this is your preference, please get in touch.)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE FTE plus £5000 Welcome Bonus (payable as one payment of £2,500 after one month and another of £2,500 upon completing your probation. T&C's apply.)

Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Clinician Practitioner Psychologist to manage our Clinical Team at Hillingdon Manor School. The role involves clinical leadership, managing a therapy caseload, and developing the clinical service in collaboration with the school’s SLT and Clinical Locality Lead. The successful candidate will deliver assessments and interventions for students with complex needs, coordinate team management, and contribute to staff training and service development.

This role requires a resilient, enthusiastic individual with a therapeutic approach, decision-making skills, and the ability to manage workload and supervise others. The postholder will support the integration of clinical services and deliver wellbeing strategies aligned with EHCPs. Our clinical team maintains a nurturing environment prioritizing safeguarding and student involvement, aiming to empower vulnerable individuals.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Masters or doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Educational, Forensic, or Counselling Psychology, or a recognized degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy
  • Valid professional registration (e.g., HCPC, BPS)
  • Experience working with autistic individuals and those with complex needs
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Experience supervising therapy teams
  • Ability to work independently and within a growing clinical service
  • Experience in multi-professional team work and leadership
  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
