Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist in Clinical Biochemistry to lead a 24/7 service across two hospital sites. The role is 0.8 WTE (30 hours per week) with flexible options and Band 7 level, requiring MSc or Level 7 and proven leadership.

You will manage a dedicated team of Biomedical Scientists and Associate Practitioners, drive quality governance and service improvement, and coordinate activities across laboratories at St James’s

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist in Clinical Biochemistry
• Masters level qualification (MSc or Level 7)
• Experience leading large teams and quality management/services

Responsibilities

• Lead the Clinical Biochemistry service across two hospital sites
• Ensure 24/7 service delivery and co-ordinate activities across sites
• Lead a team of Biomedical Scientists and Associate Practitioners
• Drive quality governance and training across Clinical Biochemistry
