Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an HCPC registered clinical scientist to join the Clinical Biochemistry Department. The role includes participation in the Duty Biochemist rota, MDT attendance, service development, quality management and clinical training.

You will take part in an out-of-hours on-call rota (approx. 1 in 4) and act as the STP training officer, contributing to quality improvement, governance and strategic direction within the SCP network.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered clinical scientist with eligible status to practice.
• MSc or equivalent in Clinical Biochemistry or related field.
• Experience in leadership, quality management, and clinical governance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Duty Biochemist rota and MDT meetings.
• Support service development and review of analytical procedures.
• Lead quality improvement, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide training and supervision to STP trainees and staff.
