Randstad UK is seeking a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a part-time role in Haywards Heath. The post focuses on delivering lessons using provided materials, with no planning required, and aims to balance professional responsibilities with work-life harmony.

Ideal candidates will have HLTA status or Level 4 leadership experience, strong classroom authority, and a DBS update. The role offers long-term progression and a supportive school team environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience leading a whole class independently (HLTA/Cover Supervisor/Unqualified Teacher).
• HLTA status, Level 4 Certificate, or substantial classroom leadership experience.
• Strong ability to establish authority quickly and maintain high standards of respect.

Responsabilités

• Lead whole-class learning sessions and cover planned teacher release time using provided lesson plans.
• Deliver engaging lessons, follow existing curriculum schemes, and maintain classroom momentum.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs and support staff to provide comprehensive pupil support.
