Job summary

Jones Bros Ltd in Exeter is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the project delivery team on a Battery Storage construction project, with potential national projects. You will report to the Senior Contracts Manager and Contracts Director and lead from mobilisation to completion.

The role requires travel across the UK with overnight stays; the company offers lodge allowances and opportunities to develop while delivering high-impact schemes within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience as a Project Manager on civil infrastructure projects is essential.
• Commercial awareness with budgets, forecasts and subcontractor performance.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major civil engineering projects from mobilisation to completion.
• Manage Works Managers, Site Agents, Engineers and the Quality team to drive progress and standards.
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure HSEQ compliance.
• Develop and implement RAMS, quality plans and environmental controls.
• Take ownership of programme delivery, budgets and reporting from CVRs to handover.
• Procure and manage plant, labour, materials and subcontractors to ensure value.
• Interpret drawings and client specifications to guide on-site delivery.
• Collaborate with project designers to inform design changes.
• Build relationships with clients and resolve operational and contractual issues.
• Mentor and support junior staff to build internal capability.
