Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join the Local Streets and Infrastructure team in the Transport and Mobility Solutions Division. You will combine managerial leadership with technical delivery on highways and infrastructure projects.

Although based in the northwest, you will collaborate across the UK and overseas, advancing projects to high quality, on time and within budget. The role offers autonomy, growth, and the chance to shape local transport networks.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline or extensive equivalent experience.
• Chartered (or Incorporated) Engineer with a proven record of technical leadership on highway and infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary design projects within scope, programme and budget.
• Strong understanding of highway design standards and familiarity with design tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design and delivery of infrastructure projects including Section 278s, bus priority and active travel.
• Lead client relationships and ensure delivery to client requirements, programme and budget.
• Demonstrate leadership and ensure adherence to H&S policy and procedures.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers and mentor junior staff.
