Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join our Cardiff-based team. You will lead delivery on a range of civil engineering projects for the buildings sector, coordinating design, resourcing and client management.

You'll drive SAB compliance, manage design packages including drainage, levels, highways, and contribute to technical standards. A Chartered ICE background and strong leadership are essential to shaping successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• MEng or BEng in civil engineering.
• Chartered ICE membership or working towards Chartership.
• Significant experience in civil engineering design for building developments.
• Strong understanding of SAB Legislation and SAB Process management.
• Self-motivated team player with good people skills.
• Strong communication, analysis, technical design and drawing skills.
• Experience using AutoCAD, InfoDrainage, Civil3D, Collaborative model platforms, NBS Chorus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery and resource management across civil engineering projects.
• Design team coordination and participation in DTMs/workshops.
• Contribute to technical standards and innovation.
• Project QA and client management.
• Develop civil design packages including drainage, levels and highways.
