Job summary

Stantec Cardiff is launching its 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Cardiff office, joining a market-leading Buildings discipline. You’ll work in a close-knit team of civil engineers and technicians delivering education sector projects, drainage design, SuDS and SAB approvals across Wales.

You'll gain hands-on project experience, development training and CPD, with support toward ICE/Engineering Council registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in BEng Civil Engineering is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office and AutoCAD is beneficial.
• Interest in working in the Buildings sector.
• Ambition to pursue professional accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Support design and assessment of civil solutions for buildings and infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, modelling, drawings and reports.
• Work with senior engineers across education and other sectors.
• Attend site visits to gain practical experience and monitor progress.
• Contribute to sustainable, low-carbon infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Develop technical, professional and commercial skills via CPD.
• Participate in graduate development programme and ICE/Engineering Council registration.
