Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in London seeks a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to lead civil design on buildings projects from feasibility through construction. You will shape design and delivery in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

You will mentor engineers, manage technical quality and programme, and contribute to commercial outcomes while liaising with authorities and stakeholders. This role sits in the Buildings team with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE or working toward chartership.
• Proven experience delivering civil design for building developments.
• Experience producing drainage strategies and sustainable drainage.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading project teams.
• Ability to contribute to project delivery from technical and commercial perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of civil design solutions for building projects.
• Oversee concepts through construction, ensuring technical quality and compliance.
• Coordinate drainage, earthworks, roads, and utilities design; prepare plans and submissions.
• Engage with authorities and stakeholders to secure approvals.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project and commercial management.
• Support fee proposals, scope definition, and programme management.
