Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a CS&A Engineer to lead civil and structural design projects across our UK office network. The role requires strong leadership, client engagement and delivery of high-quality design solutions from concept through delivery.

You will be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with experience in reinforced concrete and structural steelwork, and a solid understanding of British Standards and CDM regulations. Hybrid working is supported across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural engineering or equivalent underpinning knowledge.
• Proven experience leading delivery of civil and structural design projects.
• Strong AutoCAD and Revit proficiency with BS, CDM Regulations, safety legislation knowledge.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and manage client relationships.

Do you hold a Civil or Structural Engineering degree (or equivalent) and have proven experience leading the delivery of civil and structural design projects, including responsibility for quality, budgets, programme management and resource allocation?

Are you highly proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with extensive experience producing and reviewing reinforced concrete and structural steelwork designs in accordance with British Standards, CDM Regulations and relevant safety legislation?

The Opportunity Due to continued growth are currently seeking CS&A Engineers to join our team, these positions support hybrid working and can be based across our office network within the UK - Stockton, Newcastle, Bristol, Gloucester, Glasgow, Westlakes and Warrington.

The Role

Joining a respected multidisciplinary engineering organisation, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative and technically challenging projects across a diverse portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining technical excellence with project leadership, working closely with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.

We're seeking an individual with strong civil and structural design experience, proven project leadership capability and advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. You'll have a solid understanding of British Standards, CDM Regulations and structural detailing, alongside the ability to mentor junior engineers and confidently manage client relationships.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Technical quality and excellence of your work and the work of those working under you to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality
• Project planning, delivery and financial performance of your work and that of junior staff
• Communication with clients and other design team members to provide technical input and justification
• Technical and professional guidance, support and development of more junior designers
• Responsible for the development and delivery of design documents and solutions
• Chair and facilitate technical and non-technical meetings including progress meetings and design reviews
• Independent and autonomous work during the delivery of complex engineering activities
• Be fully conversant with business and quality management systems and actively encourage compliance within team.
• Co-ordinate & supervise surveys (condition, measurement etc) & assessments

You will have the following qualifications & experience

• Degree qualified in Civil/Structural engineering or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding
• Experience in a civil and structural design role having direct influence over design practices and outcomes
• Proven ability to Lead projects of varying size and complexity, managing technical aspects as well as quality, budget, programme and resources
• Expert in the use of the latest version of AutoCAD, Revit and associated software, with the ability to work unsupervised
• Knowledge and understanding of British Standards and CDM regs
• Experience in detailing of reinforced concrete and structural steelwork
• Ability to work effectively as a team member liaising directly with clients and other cross discipline design team members
• Awareness of applicable codes and safety legislation and how they should be applied
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and report writing skills

The setting for the role The role will be office based with site visits as required. A safety induction will be provided
