Job summary

Care in Minds seeks a Registered Manager for a Children’s Residential Service in Leeds. You will lead the residential team, ensure care plans are child-centered, oversee recruitment, retention, and training, and maintain regulatory compliance with Ofsted readiness and safeguarding standards.

The role requires strong leadership, budget oversight, and the ability to foster a warm, safe environment for young people, with regular supervision and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading residential care teams.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted/regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure competency and understanding of staff implementing care plans centered on the young person.
• Lead by example and provide supervision, appraisal, and training to staff.
• Manage staff rotas, attendance, and use of bank staff to meet home staffing needs.
• Oversee recruitment and induction processes, and ensure training compliance for mandatory courses.
• Monitor staff wellbeing, sickness absence, and payroll processes.
• Collaborate with People Services on employee relations and investigations.
• Maintain health and safety checks, home upkeep, and environmental standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and report on home costs, budgets and outcomes.
