Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is recruiting a Lead Child Protection Practitioner/LADO to join the MACPT HUB. You will oversee child protection processes, coordinate multi-agency input and ensure safeguarding plans are robust and reviewed regularly.

The role requires substantial experience as a qualified child protection social worker, with leadership in multi-agency settings and a commitment to colocated, collaborative decision-making. Hybrid working is available across Worcestershire.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a qualified and registered children’s Social Worker in child protection and/or risks outside the home.
• Experience leading and managing multi-agency meetings, devising safety and protection plans for children and reviewing these plans.
• Experience managing allegations and risks from individuals who pose risk to children.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi-agency team bringing professional expertise, relationships and effective decision making to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Promote safe, reflective practice and ensure the voice and day-to-day safety of children stays central to every decision.
