Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Lead Child Protection Practitioner to join a new Multi-Agency Child Protection Team. Based in the North of the county, you will also spend time in the South locality, leading meetings and guiding families through complex protection processes.

You will oversee high‑risk cases, supervise staff, and collaborate with police, health and education professionals to secure safe outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with frontline child protection experience.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and statutory requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with social workers, police, health and education.

Responsibilities

• Lead Child Protection Meetings, including Strategy Meetings and Conferences.
• Oversee Section 47 enquiries and develop child protection plans.
• Provide advice and supervision to social workers and students.
