Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking an Experienced Children's Social Worker to join the Quality Assurance service as the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO). The post focuses on managing allegations and concerns about adults who work with children, ensuring timely, fair and safeguarding-focused decision-making.

You will chair multi-agency cases, monitor investigations, and contribute to safeguarding learning, quality assurance and service improvement across the children's workforce.

Qualifications

• Recognised social work qualification.
• Up to date registration with Social Work England
• Identify patterns, trends and emerging safeguarding risks.
• Undertake audits and quality assurance activity relating to allegations management.
• Contribute to safeguarding reviews, practice development and service improvement. Determine whether concerns meet the threshold for LADO involvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee allegations and concerns about adults who work with children.
• Chair multi-agency allegations management meetings.
• Monitor the progress of investigations.
• Contribute to safeguarding learning, quality assurance and service improvement across the children’s workforce.
