Job summary

Levy UK & Ireland is seeking a Lead Chef for our retail operations across The Ovo Hydro and SEC Campus. The role supports the Head Chef in maintaining exceptional standards, oversees food preparation, and mentors kitchen staff to drive quality, efficiency and compliance.

Salary around £34,000 with healthcare, leave, life assurance, meals on duty, and more. The Lead Chef will focus on operational excellence, cost control, training, and delivering engaging dining experiences for athletes and staff

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a senior culinary role such as Sous Chef, preferably within stadia, large hotels or high‑performance environments.
• Leadership and mentorship experience with kitchen teams.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Menu Planning and Development: design balanced menus with the head chef.
• Oversee Food Preparation and Cooking to ensure high standards of quality, taste and presentation.
• Team Supervision and Development: lead and mentor kitchen staff, provide training on nutrition and culinary techniques.
• Quality Control: maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
