Job summary

Impact Food Group is seeking a Chef Manager to run a high-volume kitchen for school services, with leadership over a team delivering fresh meals to hundreds of students daily. This maternity cover role starts at Q3 Academy Great Barr and moves to another IFG site, with Monday–Friday 7am–4:30pm schedule.

You’ll manage menus, stock, budgets, and ensure food safety and client satisfaction while maintaining strong team performance. Competitive pay and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a kitchen, ideally in schools or high-volume catering environments.
• Ability to cook fresh, seasonal meals at high volumes.
• Strong people management and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the catering team.
• Prepare and serve fresh, seasonal meals at high volume.
• Plan menus, manage stock and control budgets.
• Ensure all food hygiene, safety and compliance standards.
• Build relationships with onsite clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee smooth service from prep to finish.
