Job summary

Upham Inns is looking for a Chef to join our kitchen and help deliver fresh, high-quality pub dining across our locations. You will run your own section, work with Head and Sous Chefs, and contribute to a busy, friendly team that values development and guest satisfaction.

We offer up to £14.00 per hour plus a share of Tronc, flexible shifts, strong staff discounts, and a clear pathway to Head Chef. If you’re passionate about cooking, teamwork, and growth, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Chef or in a similar-level role.
• Genuine passion for fresh, high-quality food.
• Ability to run your own section.
• Aptitude for leadership and mentoring junior chefs.
• Positive, approachable team-player attitude.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Run your section confidently and maintain high standards.
• Coordinate with Head Chef and Sous Chef to keep service smooth.
• Lead by example and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Complete required training within set timescales.
• Follow food safety, health & safety, licensing and employment requirements.
• Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times.
• Bring energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude to every shift.
