Scarborough Health Network is seeking a Charge Registered Technologist for Histology/Cytology to lead and coordinate activities across histology and cytology. You will guide staff, ensure quality, and support digital pathology initiatives in a busy hospital environment.

Minimum five years of leadership in histology or cytology and six years total histology experience are expected, with current CMLTO registration. This permanent, full-time role offers day and afternoon shifts at Centenary Site.

Qualifications

• Current CMLTO registration (Histology or Cytology).
• Advanced Registered Technologist with relevant bachelor’s degree or certificate preferred.
• Minimum five years leadership in histology/cytology and six years total histology experience.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Experience with digital pathology implementations.
• Strong knowledge of histology procedures, including Immunohistochemistry.
• Ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and competency assessments.
• Experience evaluating and implementing new methodologies and equipment.
• Understanding of IQMH standards.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize and coordinate activities related to Histology and Cytology.
• Direct technical staff to ensure high quality and standards.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and workload in grossing, histology and cytology areas.
• Oversee competency assessments and workflow optimization.
• Participate in digital pathology transformation projects.
