Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a Water Catchment Advisor to manage catchment-specific advice and projects that improve raw water quality and availability. The role involves working across groundwater and surface water sources, delivering targeted interventions and engaging with land managers to promote sustainable practices.

You will map environmental risks, develop farm management plans, and support environmental stewardship applications while reporting progress to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• A further education qualification in Agriculture, Land and Water Management, or Environmental Science (or a closely related discipline).
• Strong communication skills and ability to report to stakeholders clearly.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders in UU’s catchments (farmers, landowners, local authorities).
• Develop and implement interventions to reduce pollution risks.
• Monitor and evaluate catchment-based solutions and report outcomes to stakeholders.
