Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Lead Caretaker to ensure school facilities are secure, clean, and well-maintained. You will supervise the caretaking team, coordinate daily duties, and manage reactive repairs while liaising with external service providers. A proactive, hands-on leader with DBS clearance is required.

The role operates on a full-time basis with shifts 7am–7pm, Monday to Friday, and offers a range of benefits through our Total Facilities Management team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a proactive caretaker with supervisory responsibilities.
• Ability to lead a team and work in a hands-on role.
• Strong knowledge of site security, safety, and facilities maintenance.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Ability to liaise with external service providers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security of school buildings and grounds by locking/unlocking and patrols.
• Carry out day-to-day duties: litter pickup, sweeping, toilets.
• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance per school schedule.
• Carry out minor repairs and decoration works.
• Respond to reactive requests and arrange further repairs as needed.
• Investigate and handle emergencies; coordinate temporary/permanent fixes.
