Job summary

Autism Unlimited in Bournemouth is seeking a Female Support Team Leader to help guide the care team and promote independence for people we support. You will assist the Deputy Manager to drive service success, creating a positive, supportive environment for staff and individuals.

A day includes supervising staff, updating care plans, conducting medication audits and on-call duties with sleep-ins paid as an additional allowance. This role requires flexibility and a driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Social Care (or equivalent) qualification.
• Experience with Autism and challenging behaviour.
• Effective communicator with colleagues and professionals.
• Administration skills and good organisational abilities.
• Flexible hours incl. sleep-ins and on-call shifts.
• Full UK driving license and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the service and growth of the people supported.
• Work closely with the Registered Manager and demonstrate best practice.
• Provide guidance and direction to colleagues and new starters.
• Review care plans with updates and progress recorded.
• Complete medication audits and order medication when needed.
• Participate in on-call rota and sleep-ins with additional pay.
• Manage staff spot checks and supervision.
