Job summary

Autism Anglia’s Care Team Leader role at Ashton House, Peldon Campus, offers a rewarding opportunity to lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care at our Colchester campus.

You will support individuals in activities, manage medication, and ensure safeguarding while promoting development. Applicants should have a driving licence and supervisory experience; sponsorship is not provided and UK work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Health in Social Care Level 3 Diploma (or working towards it).
• Experience as Senior Support Worker or Team Leader, preferably with autism or learning disabilities.
• Full UK clean manual driving licence with at least two years driving experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate activities in the local area.
• Previous supervisory experience leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Run and ensure delivery of a high-quality, safe, person-centred service and support staff and the people we support.
• Support individuals in activities, events, trips and holidays.
• Promote holistic development addressing personal, physical, emotional, spiritual and developmental needs.
• Act as key worker and communicate with management about achievements and concerns.
• Role model proactive, enthusiastic and positive behaviour and set performance expectations.
• Manage receipt, storage and administration of medication with audits and reviews.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly.
