Home Instead is seeking a Lead Care Professional to launch a new client service and then mentor the matched Care Professionals. You will ensure a strong start for each client, verify compliance, and provide coaching to maintain high-quality care. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to uphold standards.

The role is 30 hours per week with alternate weekends off, offering predictable breaks and a structured schedule within our local Home Instead team.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience in a care setting.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for between-client travel.
• Warm, patient and reliable approach; able to lead by example.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care.

Responsabilités

The role

We're looking for an experienced Lead Care Professional to start the service for our new clients and then support the Care Professionals matched with them. You'll make sure each client's care gets off to the right start, then carry out compliance checks and provide mentoring so that the quality of care stays high. You'll work closely with our Registered Manager.

This is a 30-hour-a-week position, with alternate weekends off, so you get a regular, predictable break.

What you’ll be doing

• Starting the service for new clients, delivering their first visits hands-on and building trust from the outset
• Supporting the Care Professionals matched with each client, helping them settle in and understand the client's needs
• Carrying out compliance checks, including spot checks and observations, to maintain high standards of care
• Mentoring and coaching care colleagues, including inducting new starters
• Keeping accurate, timely records and administering medication in line with policy
• Building strong relationships with clients, families and visiting professionals
• Raising safeguarding or quality concerns promptly and helping us meet CQC standards
• Covering visits when needed

You must have:

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a care setting
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travelling between clients
• A warm, patient and reliable approach, with the confidence to make decisions and lead by example
• Good communication and record-keeping skills
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care

It would be great if you also have:

• Medication administration training
• Experience of dementia care or end-of-life care
• Experience with digital care planning systems

• £13.83 per hour (£21,574 per year for 30 hours a week)
• Paid travel time and mileage between visits
