Job summary

Orchard Care Homes is seeking a talented Chef to craft nutritious, home-cooked meals for residents, guided by individual dietary needs and Orchard Care Homes' Good Food Guide. You will lead a dedicated kitchen team, manage food orders and stock, and ensure the kitchen meets safety standards.

Working closely with the Home Manager and care staff, you will uphold infection prevention protocols, manage equipment, and help create a warm, homely dining experience across our homes.

Qualifications

• Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals.
• Supervise kitchen team and manage orders.
• Adhere to HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and food safety standards.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and stock rotation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook a variety of meals that are appealing and meet dietary needs.
• Provide guidance to the team to maintain a friendly, supportive kitchen environment.
• Comply with statutory requirements and infection prevention policies to keep the kitchen safe.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and ensure proper stock rotation.
