Job summary

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist to undertake a wide range of diagnostic tests and procedures, interpret results, and provide reports to clinicians. The role includes clinical supervision and training of junior staff and participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota for emergency cardiac intervention.

You will conduct pacemaker and ICD follow-up clinics, analyse device function, assess battery status, and make safe changes to optimise longevity.

Responsibilities

• Undertakes a wide range of cardiac diagnostic tests, including specialist cardiac clinical physiological tests and procedures performed in a tertiary cardiac center.
• Conducts pacemaker and ICD follow up clinics, analysing function, assessing battery status and making safe and appropriate changes to optimise the function and longevity of the device.
• Analyzes complex intra cardiac pressures during invasive procedures, informing clinicians of any changes or abnormalities.
• Undertakes physiologist lead exercise tolerance testing, following established national and local policies/procedures. Interprets test results and provides an accurate factual report
