Job summary

Wales & West Utilities Limited is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to work across levels of the organisation, coordinating with Senior IT Programme Manager and key sponsors. You will own requirements definition, identify projects, and ensure deliverables meet business needs in a fast-paced utility environment in South Wales.

The role requires degree-level education, strong workshops facilitation, and experience coordinating IT programmes with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Degree level education mandatory.
Ability to pick up urgent issues and support team members as part of a standard week; flexibility to advise or facilitate where business knowledge is needed.
Ability to organise and run workshops.

Responsibilities

Analyse and document IT or business requirements with project sponsors.
Lead the business analyst team to align requirements with solutions with IT Solution Architects.
Manage external tender events for new technology or leverage procurement frameworks.
Write an investment paper with concise summary, costs, risks, and timelines for investment sign-off.
Coach and mentor Business Analysts on best practices.
