Norwich City College of Further and Higher Education in England is seeking a Farm and Estate Technician (Beef) to lead the development and management of our 180-head beef unit and small suckler herd on the 162ha estate. This hands-on role requires practical animal husbandry, daily livestock management, forage planning, and data recording, with opportunities to teach and demonstrate to students.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Easton Estate, contribute to wider estate

Competenze

• Beef husbandry experience essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong emphasis on safety, welfare and presentation.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Mansioni

• Lead day-to-day running of the Beef enterprise and assist in overall estate operations.
• Daily checks, feeding, bedding, breeding cycles, calving and basic health treatments.
• Demonstrate livestock husbandry and machinery skills to students in groups.
• Operate tractors and telehandlers for feeding, bedding and field tasks.
• Record performance data and maintain electronic records (Agriwebb, Cow Manager).
• Collaborate with estate technicians on seasonal tasks across the 160ha estate.
