City College Norwich is seeking a Farm and Estate Technician (Beef) to lead the day-to-day running of the Beef enterprise within the 162ha estate, working alongside the Head of Easton Estate. You will manage grazing, forage, herd health and record keeping to support students and ensure high animal welfare standards.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, with weekend and out-of-hours welfare checks as required.

Formación

• Strong practical farming skills and experience in beef husbandry is essential.
• Ability to manage herd health, record keeping and welfare to required standards.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the day-to-day running of the College Beef enterprise on the 162ha estate.
• Oversee grazing, forage and feed management, calf rearing and herd health.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with assurance schemes and legislation.
• Provide practical learning opportunities for students through demonstrations and hands-on training.
• Operate tractors and telehandlers for feeding, bedding and field tasks.
