Job summary

Teaching Vacancies seeks an experienced Farm and Estate Technician (Beef) to lead the day-to-day operations of the beef enterprise on the 162ha estate. You will manage breeding, calving, feeding and welfare while training students and ensuring high animal standards.

Based near Norwich, the role involves working with the estate team, maintaining records, and operating handling systems and tractors to support the farm and wider estate priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in beef husbandry, calving, calf rearing and livestock administration (Essential)
• Full UK driving licence (Essential)
• Willingness to train students and work across the estate

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Beef enterprise ensuring smooth livestock operations
• Oversee feeding, bedding, breeding cycles, calving, treatments and cattle handling
• Demonstrate livestock husbandry and machinery skills to small student groups
• Operate tractors and telehandlers for feeding, bedding and field tasks
• Record performance data and maintain electronic records for compliance and assurance
