Hawksmoor in London is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house team and uphold warm, confident hospitality on the floor and during service. You will support the Restaurant Manager, develop your people and maintain high standards while being a visible, hands-on leader behind the bar and on the floor to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has relevant bar management experience in a cocktail-led venue, a passion for cocktails

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Bar Manager, Supervisor or strong Head Bartender in a quality, cocktail-led venue.
• Passion for cocktails, wines, spirits and creating memorable guest experiences.
• A supportive leader who develops and motivates their team.
• Organised, energetic and confident under pressure.
• Ambitious and ready to progress towards a Bar Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bar Manager with day-to-day leadership of the bar team.
• Lead shifts behind the bar, ensuring drinks quality, service and speed meet Hawksmoor standards.
• Lead shifts on the floor, setting standards and creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
• Work closely with kitchen, bar and reservations teams to keep service running smoothly.
• Support recruitment, training and progression within the team.
• Help train and develop bartenders and barbacks through coaching and tastings.
• Manage stock, ordering, and waste to maintain cost control.
• Be a visible, hands-on leader on the floor and behind the bar.
• Deputise for the Bar Manager when needed, keeping service smooth and consistent.
