Job summary

Celebrity Cruises seeks an experienced CDP Baker to lead bakery operations on board. You will manage production, quality and presentation of the bread program for daily menus, forecast production, and minimize waste to control costs.

You will supervise a diverse team, ensure USPH compliance, oversee bakery cleanliness, and coordinate requisitions from main stores. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success at sea.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as a CDP Baker in upscale settings (hotel/resort/cruise ship).
• Culinary school degree is required.
• Strong management skills in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Superior customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution abilities.
• Knowledge of guest service standards and accounting basics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation and control of bakery shop and daily production.
• Direct, coach, supervise and evaluate staff with Head Baker.
• Oversee production, quality and presentation of bread for menus.
• Prepare forecasts and record leftovers to control waste and costs.
• Supervise bread display setup in buffets.
• Ensure compliance with USPH rules and regulations daily.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness per Executive Chef schedule and protect equipment.
• Prepare bakery for USPH inspections by ship management or inspectors.
• Manage requisition and transport of items from main stores to bakery shop.
• Ensure recipes, master list and yields meet company standards.
• Complete daily consumption recap and coach/train team members.
