Job summary

INFUSED SOLUTIONS LIMITED is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive backend architecture and mentor a small team of full‑stack engineers in Kent. You’ll deliver high‑quality software using TypeScript and Node.js, set technical direction, and promote modern engineering practices to build scalable systems.

You’ll balance hands‑on development with people leadership, collaborating with Product, Delivery and Data teams, and champion AI‑assisted development tools.

Qualifications

Substantial commercial experience with backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
Experience leading and line managing software engineers.
Mentoring and coaching engineers’ career development.
Experience owning technical direction within a business domain.
Strong understanding of scalable, reliable and secure software architecture.

Responsibilities

Lead and line manage a small team of software engineers, supporting their development and performance.
Define and champion best practices for TypeScript and Node.js backend development.
Set technical direction and make architectural decisions.
Build and maintain scalable, secure backend systems.
Coach engineers through pairing and feedback.
Collaborate with Product, Delivery, Commercial and Data teams.
