Job summary

DW Search in London is seeking a hands-on Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to advance a major financial services firm's AWS platform. You will own Landing Zone evolution, scale automation with Terraform and Python, and guide secure, governed multi-account setups while remaining deeply involved technically.

You will collaborate with security, architecture and engineering teams to drive platform reliability and self-service improvements in a regulated enterprise environment. Hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing, building or significantly improving AWS Landing Zones.
• Strong Terraform experience.
• Python scripting and automation experience.
• Strong understanding of enterprise multi-account AWS environments.
• Good understanding of cloud security and governance.
• Experience operating within large, complex enterprise environments.
• Ability to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
• Experience working within another highly regulated enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Improve and scale an established enterprise AWS platform and Landing Zone.
• Review existing cloud foundations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Python.
• Improve self-service capabilities for engineering teams consuming AWS.
• Strengthen cloud governance, security and operational standards.
• Take ownership of complex technical problems and key platform engineering decisions.
• Work closely with engineering, security and architecture teams across the organisation.
