Job summary

Airbus Helicopters seeks a Chief Avionic Design Engineer at our Oxford site to lead an Avionic & Electrical Design team from concept to manufacture, owning technical quality and certification compliance. You will mentor engineers, drive design reviews, and ensure timely integration of modules while maintaining design procedures and customer requirements.

The role requires a degree in Avionic/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent HNC/HND with extensive experience), CATIA V5/AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum of degree in an Avionic / Electrical / Aerospace Engineering field.
• Alternative qualification: HNC/HND in related engineering with extensive avionic/electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead avionics & electrical engineering from concept through design, integration and test.
• Own project timelines, estimates and quotes with avionic/electrical contributions.
• Coach and develop junior design engineers and recruit as needed.
• Act as design signatory status and Compliance Verification Engineer.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve design issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and revise specifications and ensure product module integration.
