Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Chief Avionic Design Engineer at our Oxford site to lead the Avionic & Electrical Design team, owning technical quality from concept to manufacture. You will guide a small team, ensure regulatory and certification compliance, and act as design signatory with a focus on delivering safe, reliable helicopter customisations.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Avionic/Electrical/Aerospace engineering or equivalent (HNC/HND acceptable)
• Extensive experience in avionic & electrical systems design
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and certification processes

Responsibilities

• Lead avionics & electrical engineering from concept through to design, integration and test per Airbus procedures
• Own technical quality and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and certification requirements
• Mentor and develop a small team of engineers; act as design signatory and Compliance Verification Engineer
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve design issues and ensure timely project delivery
• Develop and revise specifications; drive design reviews across the NPI process
