Job summary

BCA Group in Corby is seeking a Mechanical Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of the busy workshop, supervising a team of 20+ technicians and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to high standards.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will champion safety, quality and productivity, coordinate workflows with internal teams and drive performance across the site. The role is permanent with a salary up to £37,542 per annum and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising technicians or workshop processes.
• Strong IT capability with Outlook and Excel.
• Hands-on workshop experience in automotive environment.
• Clear leadership and ability to motivate teams.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workshop operations— supervise and motivate a team of 20+ technicians, ensuring targets, KPIs and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate workflow— plan daily tasks, allocate resource and liaise with internal departments to maximise efficiency.
• Manage people processes— oversee attendance, holidays, performance reviews and skill-testing for new starters.
• Champion safety and compliance— uphold H&S standards, enforce site rules and ensure all staff follow company and customer policies.
• Maintain operational standards— ensure vehicles are parked within SLA requirements and report any breaches to the Operations Manager.
