Job summary

adi Automation, part of the adi Group, is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join the Wirral team. You will own automation projects from client requirements through to design, programming, commissioning and handover, developing control solutions from scratch for diverse sectors.

The role demands strong PLC, HMI and SCADA experience with Rockwell and/or Siemens platforms, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver turnkey solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering projects from client requirements through to commissioning.
• Ability to design and develop control systems from scratch.
• Strong PLC, HMI and SCADA programming experience.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation and/or Siemens PLC platforms.
• Experience working directly with clients and translating requirements into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and develop engineering solutions.
• Own projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Design, develop and program PLC, HMI and SCADA systems from scratch.
• Develop PLC software using Rockwell or Siemens platforms.
• Design and implement HMI and SCADA systems.
• Support FAT, commissioning and site start-up and resolve issues to completion.
• Collaborate with electrical, process safety and software engineers on turnkey solutions.
• Prepare technical solutions and costed proposals as required.
