Job summary

ICE Recruit is representing a Leeds-based consultancy seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join its growing team, taking ownership of projects from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, chartered (IStructE/ICE) or near Chartered, with strong building-structures consultancy experience, knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes and CDM, and excellent client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Chartered with IStructE or ICE, or close to Chartership.
• Strong consultancy experience within building structures.
• Good knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes and CDM.
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of building projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and attend client and design meetings.
• Review technical work, manage programmes and resources.
• Contribute to fee proposals, business development and growth of the Leeds team.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide less experienced staff.
