Job summary

PETA is seeking a Lead Assessor / Learning & Development Coach to lead a team of Assessors and ensure high‑quality apprenticeship delivery in line with Ofsted, funding body and PETA standards. The role Mixes centre work with visiting apprentices in the workplace.

You will manage day‑to‑day activities, undertake audits, conduct initial assessments, oversee assignment tracking, moderation, standardisation meetings and centre quality visits, supported by the Curriculum and Quality Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of assessing apprentices.
• Ability to relate to and communicate with a wide age range.
• DBS Registration and Disclosure required.
• Experience leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the Assessors and their delivery; ensure compliance with guidelines and KPIs.
• Audits with Training Manager to ensure compliance and quality.
• Conduct initial assessment of employed learners for eligibility and funding.
• Oversee assignment tracking, marking, moderation, standardisation meetings and centre visits.
