Job summary

PETA is recruiting an Associate Engineering Instructor (Electrical & Electronic) to deliver engaging electrical and electronic training to apprentices, learners, and corporate clients from our Havant centre.

The role is flexible and based on a day-rate basis with potential travel to employer sites. You will mentor learners, develop schemes of work, and assess competence against standards, while promoting safe working practices and supporting career development.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and presentation skills required.
• Extensive electrical and/or electronic engineering experience in industry.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and mentoring individuals in technical electrical and electronic engineering skills.
• Developing and delivering engaging training sessions and practical workshops.
• Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and training materials.
• Planning and undertaking assessments of competence against standards.
• Ensuring all training and documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Providing guidance and technical support to learners and employers.
• Promoting safe working practices and reporting incidents.
• Developing learners to achieve qualifications and career goals.
