Job summary

Laser Expertise in Nottingham is seeking an Assembly Team Leader to run a busy assembly department. This hands-on role will see you working alongside the team to ensure parts are built safely, correctly and on time.

You will lead daily workloads, train team members and coordinate with other departments to meet production deadlines. The ideal candidate has assembly experience in manufacturing or engineering, some supervisory experience, and can read basic engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Practical, hands-on approach.
• Positive and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Assembly team.
• Allocate daily workloads and monitor progress.
• Assemble fabricated metal components using hand and power tools.
• Read and work from engineering drawings.
• Check completed work meets the required quality standards.
• Help train and support new and existing team members.
• Identify and report any production or quality issues.
• Ensure the department remains clean, organised and safe.
• Work with other departments to meet production deadlines.
