Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking two Assembly Team Leaders for our Gloucester site. You will lead and motivate the assembly team, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a Team Leader, Shift Leader, or Supervisory role
• Experience managing teams within manufacturing, assembly, production, or engineering environments
• Strong people management skills with ability to gain team buy-in
• Experience handling attendance, holidays, and performance management

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching, and motivating assembly operatives across your shift
• Delegating workload and ensuring tasks are completed effectively
• Managing day-to-day team performance and productivity
• Supporting holiday planning, absence management, and disciplinary processes
• Ensuring the smooth flow of the assembly line and identifying issues impacting production
• Working with management to resolve operational challenges
• Monitoring stock availability and supporting material flow
• Reviewing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) where required
• Driving continuous improvement and sharing best practices across shifts
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
