Job summary

DARA People in Shepshed, Leicestershire, is seeking an Assembly Team Leader to join our growing manufacturing operation. This hands-on leadership role combines shop-floor teamwork with planning, quality control and stock management to keep production running smoothly.

You will work closely with the Head of Production, directing 60–70% of your time alongside the production team and 30–40% on coordination, training and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, fabrication or workshop environments.
• Proven leadership or supervision experience on a production line.
• Hands-on, practical leadership style with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with the team assembling aluminium safety and access products.
• Operate and set up workshop machinery and hand tools.
• Provide daily direction and support to production operatives.
• Prioritise and allocate work to meet production deadlines.
• Support Head of Production and cover duties when required.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of completed work.
• Maintain stock records and process goods movements in the system.
• Support induction and development of new team members.
