Job summary

Our Future Health is seeking a Staff Analytics Platform Engineer to shape the architecture and reliability of the analytics platform that enables trusted, high-quality insights. You will provide technical leadership across ingestion, Snowflake architecture, semantic modelling, and secure analytics environments, defining patterns and infrastructure for analysts, data scientists, and product teams.

Qualifications

Experience building and operating modern data platforms in multi-team environments.
Strong Python engineering skills and scalable architecture design.
Analytical data modelling expertise and cost-aware decisions.
Hands-on with ingestion/orchestration tooling like Airbyte.
Proven technical leadership across infra, ingestion, transformation, and analytics enablement.
Platform architecture experience: Snowflake, dbt, semantic layers, secure analytics environments.
Diagnose cross-cutting issues across data, infra, and analytics workloads.
Mentoring engineers and improving developer experience.
Strong communication and ability to align teams around platform strategy.
Experience with Terraform and data governance tooling.

Responsibilities

Co-owning the analytics platform architecture across Snowflake, ingestion pipelines, dbt, and secure environments.
Defining the long-term technical vision for a scalable, cost-efficient platform.
Establishing architectural patterns balancing reliability, governance, usability, and performance.
Leading platform initiatives to improve performance, cost efficiency, or maturity.
Owning core components: CI/CD, testing, environment management, observability, IaC.
Serving as escalation point for complex platform issues and guiding teams.
Driving Snowflake performance and cost optimization based on workloads.
Implementing data SLAs/SLOs, observability, lineage, and quality frameworks.
Collaborating with data products and engineering for safe ingestion and data contracts.
Influencing data system design and elevating engineering standards.
Mentoring analytics engineers and platform engineers.
