Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader (UK CAA B1) to guide 20+ mechanics in scheduled maintenance, inspections and defect rectification at our Gatwick facility. You will drive safety, quality and efficiency while coordinating with shifts and support departments.

Ideal candidates bring UK CAA Pt66 B Licence, 3+ years in heavy aircraft maintenance and proven team leadership in an aviation environment. Full-time role with seasonal hours and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years aircraft heavy maintenance experience.
• Experience in leading teams in an aircraft maintenance environment.
• UK CAA Pt66 B licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise 20+ Mechanics and Lead Mechanics in scheduled maintenance, inspections and defect rectification.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, health and safety standards.
• Oversee team activities and schedules to meet targets.
• Organise and allocate tasks to deliver areas against targets.
• Provide people management, coaching and performance development.
• Lead technical tasks and sign off work within approvals.
