Job summary

British Airways PLC is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader (UK CAA B1) to join the Glasgow-based maintenance team. You will lead, supervise and develop teams carrying out scheduled maintenance tasks, inspections and defect rectification, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and company standards.

You will organize work schedules, deliver targets, coach staff, and provide technical leadership while coordinating with shifts and support departments to optimise aircraft uptime and productivity.

Qualifications

Experience leading maintenance teams in an aircraft environment.
Ability to organise team schedules and drive safety and quality standards.
Strong communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise maintenance teams performing scheduled maintenance tasks.
Ensure safety, quality, environmental standards and housekeeping.
Manage day-to-day team activities and development (coaching, performance reviews).
Coordinate with shift manager and support department to meet targets.
Sign off work on completion within the required approvals.
Drive improvements to schedules, downtime and productivity.
