Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation Farnborough is seeking an RS Aircraft Component Repair Tech Sr (FAR) - Structures to lead and perform high‑level repair and overhaul of aircraft components with a strong emphasis on structural integrity and compliance with GAL Repair Station standards.

You will read blueprints and eng docs, supervise techniques, and use specialized test equipment to validate repairs before returning parts to service.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or Aircraft Maintenance preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, eng docs, CMP data, CBs and ASCs.
• Proficient in operation of tools and equipment in the dept.
• Basic understanding of shop math.
• Experience in sheetmetal and/or hydraulic overhaul.
• Avionics/electronics repair knowledge may offset some experience.
• APU removal, install and service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide repair of internal and external aircraft assemblies and components.
• Perform removals, repairs or replacement of defective parts per manuals and data.
• Set up and operate test equipment for functional tests and return to service.
• Inspect detail parts to ensure conformity with maintenance data.
• Remove skins and components on flight controls and secondary structures.
• Demonstrate mastery of repair techniques and protective coatings.
• Maintain required paperwork per Repair Station requirements.
• Manage shop material flow and work orders.
• Comply with environmental health and safety regs.
