Job summary

AXISCADES UK LTD in Filton seeks an experienced Aircraft Structural Repair Design Engineer with wing-structures expertise and in-service repair engineering background. You will analyze, validate, and approve structural repair solutions for active aircraft, aligning with Airbus procedures.

Collaborate with Stress/Static, Fatigue, and offshore design teams; coordinate TD, AW, RDTS in TRM; manage ICARUS case workflows to ensure timely, right-first-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• Proven in-service repair engineering experience within OEM/MRO or aerospace services.
• Deep knowledge of wing structures and repair substantiation.
• Hands-on Airbus standards and deliverables (TD/AW/RDTS).

Responsibilities

• Repair Solution Validation: Analyze, review, and technically validate structural repair solutions for in-service aircraft.
• Damage Assessment & Substantiation: Assess structural damage and develop repair solutions.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure repair solutions meet Airbus standards and airworthiness criteria.
• Deliverable & Tool Management: Create and coordinate TD, AW, and RDTS in TRM; track ICARUS cases.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Static/Stress and Fatigue teams for substantiation.
• Global Team Coordination: Collaborate with offshore teams, Airbus signatories, and Customer Support.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring issues to improve processes and delivery.
